Exploring yosemite: The complete guide on what to do and where to stay

Yosemite National Park is one of the most breathtaking places in the world. With towering mountains, cascading waterfalls, old-growth forests, and even a glacier, the park is no less than a wonderland. With so much beauty and history within this natural sanctuary, Yosemite is the perfect place for an outdoor adventure.

The best time to visit Yosemite depends on what you're looking for. Summer is the most popular time of year and offers great opportunities for sightseeing, camping, and more. However, if you prefer a more solitary experience, fall and winter are the least crowded times with beautiful autumn colors and serene snowy landscapes. Spring is also a great time of year for hiking and camping, as the weather is mild and the waterfalls are at their highest flow.

No matter the season, Yosemite has something for everyone. From the stunning views of Half Dome and Glacier Point to the peaceful strolls through the Mariposa or Tuolumne Groves of Giant Sequoias, Yosemite offers a wealth of activities. Outdoor enthusiasts can take part in a wide range of activities, such as hiking, camping, backpacking, biking, rock climbing, horseback riding, fishing, and more. Nature lovers can take part in ranger-guided walks and talks, while families can enjoy picnicking, wildlife watching, and scenic drives.

No matter what season you’re visiting during or what activities you’re taking part in, the stunning beauty of Yosemite National Park is sure to stay with you for years to come.

Where we stayed... --Staying at El Portal Mountain View Lodge was one of the highlights of my trip! This was our second time staying there because we love it so much. Not only is the lodge situated in an ideal spot (literally 2 miles from the park's west entrance in El pORTAL, California.) It is situated on the banks of the mERCED river that offers great views of the mountains, water and the stunning cliffs. It also provides all the comfort, convenience, and amenities that one could need in a hotel. The staff are friendly, courteous, and very helpful. The rooms feature comfortable bedding and air conditioning/heating with a nice fireplace as well as cable television. There is a FULLY stocked kitchenette available for use along with a mini fridge to store food. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained, with plenty of comfortable outdoor seating so you can soak up the view. Not to mention the wonderful indoor and outdoor pool so you can enjoy year round. Also featured is a hudge family game room with tons of games and activitie, a workout rrom as well as a laundry room. All in all, this is a great place to stay while visiting Yosemite. Highly recommended!
